A new study revealed teens with attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have HIGHER RATES of car accidents, speeding tickets, and more! 

Here is a summary of this study’s findings

• Car accident rates were HIGHER for drivers with ADHD regardless of licensing age
• Teens with ADHD include higher rates of alcohol-related crashes than drivers without ADHD.
• In the first year of driving, the rate of alcohol and/or drug driving violations was 3.6 times higher for adolescents with ADHD.
• Drivers with ADHD had higher rates of moving violations (for speeding, seat belt nonuse, and electronic equipment use) and suspensions.
